A Quick Thank You

From the bottom of our hearts, we're thankful for each and every one of you. To be surrounded by so many people who have inspired and contributed to the growth of our family is a luxury we are lucky to have.

Our Journey

Over the past decade our family has grown in size, love and commitment. We know for many, this wedding has been a long-time coming. But, the best things in life come with time.

We had known each other for years, but nine years ago we sparked unexpectedly. During our remaining college years, after a worry-free, passion-filled summer, we decided to see where this thing would take us. We jumped into two years of a semi-long distance relationship, making countless weekend trips from Austin to Dallas. Distance made our hearts grow stronger. Those two years built a foundation for what was to come.

We quickly transitioned from being 3.5 hours away, to being 3.5 seconds. Living together in our tiny loft apartment marked the start of truly sharing our lives together and led to buying our first home just outside of downtown Dallas.

Living together, emerging beyond adolescence into adulthood tested our relationship. We took on new responsibilities together at home and in our careers. These were the fastest moving years of our life and sharing in the experience matured our relationship, strengthening our love for each other.

Of-course on September 22nd, 2014 our lives changed forever. We introduced Jackson Quinn Wilkes into the world and entered the most exciting chapter of our lives. Including the purchase of our second, more family conducive house we cherish today.

Parenthood opened up a whole new dynamic. The past four years has cemented our family bond, the shared commitment we have for Jackson and the individual commitment we have for each other.

This wedding could have happened a long time ago. But it wouldn't be us if we wasn't a little unorthodox.

We look forward to sharing one of the most important milestones in our family journey. And, we thank you for all the love and support you've provided us that has allowed for our dreams to come to reality.
